Library
The purpose, features and function of the Persona Library in NeoThymos.
The Persona Library is where you can store finished personas that you have checked in from the Gallery. All NeoThymos subscription accounts (Hobbiest level and above) include a Library. Think of it as an archive for your growing collection of personas.
Purpose
While the Gallery is where personas live when you are actively crafting and deploying them, the Library is where they reside once they have been locked and deployed. The number of active card slots in a Gallery is limited (determined by account level). Using the Library frees up a Gallery slot so it can continue working for you. You have a much larger number of card slots in your Library.
Once each month, when you have designed a persona, locked it and deployed the generated files to an agent runtime environment, it is time to move it into the Library. You do this from the Gallery using Send to Library on the action menu of a persona card. This uses a Library Credit.
Persona cards in the Library
Cards for both archetype and custom personas are stored in the Library. Persona cards in the Library behave similarly to cards in the Gallery. You can expand them to reveal an action bar above the card. It contains all the persona actions supported from the Library.
The number of personas in the library can be found in the counter at the top right.
As in the Gallery, fanciful persona portraits serve as a means of visual identification and indexing and with a larger number of cards this can be very helpful. If you prefer not to use portraits on cards you can replace them with the custom sigil (Persona Knot) that is generated for each persona when it is synthesized. You do this in settings.
Filtering & Sorting
The cards that appear in the library can be filterer in a number of ways.
| Filter | Slices |
|---|---|
| Type | All, Archetype, Custom |
| Sex | All, Male, Female |
| Target | All, None, Open Claw, Hermes, NanoClaw, SillyTavern |
| ‘Target’ allows personas to be filtered by the runtime environments they have been deployed to. Note that ‘None’ means the persona has not yet been deployed to any runtime environment. So if ‘Hermes’ and ‘None’ are selected then personas that have been deployed to Hermes and those that have never been deployed will be included. |
Sort the personas that survive the filter - either alphabetically, A-Z, or by most recently accessed..
Tips & tricks
- Free up Gallery slots. Every month that your subscription is active each Gallery slot will receive a library credit which allows its persona to be moved into the Library (or be deleted from its Gallery slot). Use these each month to free up your Gallery slot(s) so you can craft new personas.
- Clone new personas. If you want a new persona that is “like” one that you have in your library, but peraps you want one that has a bit more Integrity or a different mix of Conscientiousness traits, you can clone into an empty Gallery slot directly from the Library. The unlocked persona will appear in the Gallery when you return there.
- Swap with other personas in the Gallery. Any persona in the Library can be swapped with any locked persona in the Gallery. This comes in handy if you want to change deployment options for an already deployed persona or to create a new deployment to a different agent runtime environment.
