Persona Gallery
The purpose, features and function of the Persona Gallery in NeoThymos.
The Persona Gallery is the heart of NeoThymos. It is where personas live while they are being designed, locked, synthesized and deployed.
The Gallery of a NeoThymos subscription account (Hobbiest level and above) includes ‘slots’ for at least one archetype persona and one fully custom persona as well as a ‘Draft’ slot. All NeoThymos subscription accounts also include a Library - the archive into which you move your latest creation - a growing collection of personas each with its own bespoke synthetic personality.
Purpose
The Gallery is where personas live while you are actively crafting and deploying them.
The creation of a new Persona begins with an unoccupied card slot in the Gallery (see below). From its slot in the Gallery you can take the persona to the Forge
Once each month, when you have designed a persona, locked it and deployed the generated files to an agent runtime environment, it is time to move it into the Library. You do this from the Gallery using Send to Library on the action menu of a persona card. This uses a Library Credit.
Persona cards in the Gallery
Agent/Character Personas in the Gallery are represented by cards in slots on a scrolling carousel. You can drag and drop persona cards to reorder them. There are cards for both archetype and custom personas. Each custom card represents a unique persona, one with a bespoke synthetic personality, that you design. The number of active card slots in your Gallery is limited (determined by account level). You can expand the card in a Gallery slot to reveal an action bar above the card. It contains all the persona actions supported from the Library.
The number of personas in the library can be found in the counter at the top right.
As in the Gallery, fanciful persona portraits serve as a means of visual identification and indexing and with a larger number of cards this can be very helpful. If you prefer not to use portraits on cards you can replace them with the custom sigil (Persona Knot) that is generated for each persona when it is synthesized. You do this in settings.
Using the Library frees up a Gallery slot so it can continue working for you. (You have a much larger number of card slots in your Library.)
Tips & tricks
- Free up Gallery slots. Every month that your subscription is active each Gallery slot will receive a library credit which allows its persona to be moved into the Library (or be deleted from the system entirely). Use these each month to free up your Gallery slot(s) so you can craft new persona(s).
- Clone new personas. If you want a new persona that is “like” one that you are viewing in your library, say you want one that has more Integrity or a different mix of Conscientiousness traits, you can clone into an empty Gallery slot directly from the Library (this can also be done in the Forge). The unlocked persona will appear in the Gallery when you return there.
- Swap with other personas in the Gallery. Any persona in the Library can be swapped with any locked persona in the Gallery. This comes in handy if you want to change deployment options for an already deployed persona or to create a new deployment to a different agent runtime environment.
